Wanna see the saddest mailbox in the world?
Yes, people, that is our mailbox, the one we have been using since we moved into this house more than three years ago. I'm sure every day our poor little mail lady has driven up and said, "What on earth is wrong with these people?"
It was just one of those things. Don't you have a dozen of those, hanging around your house, taunting you? "When are you going to get around to fixing me? It wouldn't take very long. Just DO it, already." The problem is that there are just so MANY of those projects that it's easier to do none of them!
Well, the other day, inspired by Pinterest (of course), I got a wild hair and decided to fix the mailbox! (I'm trying to tackle as many of these little things as I can before Ryan gets home, to surprise him.) So, meet my new bright and shiny...
This idea was 100% copied from Prudent Baby, which is one of my favorite websites ever. The only change was the font, Habana, which I got from Lost Type Co-op (a very cool site with lots of vintagey-looking fonts).
I was all excited about it when I finished it, and I said something like, "See, now nobody in Pocatello will have a mailbox as cool as mine...Except all of the other girls with a Pinterest account and a Silhouette machine."
To which my mom responded, "Ummm....what's so cool about it?"
(Also, it is completely possible that Ryan won't even notice.)
Whatever. I like it.
